Cesar Chehade is an Australian designer, with a passion for architecture and fashion. Fashion enables Cesar an opportunity to tell a story with materials, design and structure, reflecting his unique aesthetic and interpreting his client’s needs.
Lebanese born, Cesar completed his Diploma in Fashion Design from Esmod Beirut. He moved to Australia in 2011 where he furthered his studies at the Royal Melbourne institute of Technology. Cesar was selected to join the prestigious Australian National Graduate Showcase to show his Graduate collection in 2013.
After graduation Cesar worked for well known fashion houses including Maison Rabih Kayrouz and J’Aton enriching his craftsmanship. Architecture continues to be one of the main inspirations for his work. Cesar understands structure and form resulting in timeless and classic silhouettes, creating exclusive gowns using opulent and intricately embellished fabrics.
His aesthetic draws on traditional design and construction techniques, creating diaphanous and structured gowns that are figure hugging and undeniably feminine.
